uncomfortably comfortable!

there is this thing about pain...at one point, u get soo used to it that u start missing it when ur happy....asif ur addicted!!
thats when u search for reasons to feel sad...
thats when u go right out in the 'dont enter' zone and invite the hurt...
thats when it kills another part of you and u actually ignore the 'death' and feel proud that atleast the rest of you was strong enough to survive it instead...
'bring it on' becomes the motto...
and 'survival' becomes the game...

u become numb...sometimes uncomfortably numb...but it dosent matter...u survive it somehow and u take comfort in that...

life becomes a challenge and u are surprised if someone dosent end up hurting u...
u get shocked, confused, sad, suspicious, doubting, imaginative...

and then finally when it gets to a point when that same someone begins to hate u for being the untrusting insecure wretch u seem to be, u feel sad...dejected..let down..empty..hurt...
and finally comfortable---because its only then that u are convinced that life has turned normal once again!!

the pain sure is there. but why dont we use it for our own good? the best creations are born in pain. if we cant concentrate in anything else, pen down our emotions into beautiful poems, stories or sketches :P wut say pri?? :P

Pain sucks, it makes u go wild, u lose hope, u want an end to it, but it lingers on....

trust thyself and one day i go out of it and then when u remember it, u know wat not to do to get back to those turmoilous times!!

good perspective shared doctor :)

Therz this saying "There are some relationships in life that are worth all the pain"..n such are the relationships...I look forward to.
The rest i blv happened to impart a lesson n so the key thing is that one doesnt miss the lesson!

One can never fully appreciate the little things in life unless that person has experienced the pains...

Comfortably Numb is the mood to be in... better than other stupid things people in pain do to themselves...

have a nice day mate... cheers...

I know that feeling :(

Sadly my phases last long! Or I let them last long..

Do check my last post..

@ rambler
true but its only after being subjected to a fair share that pain allows u to be numb to it :)
and maybe thats why u tend to get comfortable with it...

@ sam
thats true too in a way---no matter how numb u think uve gotten, there are somethings which just refuse to stop hurting...

@ pavi!!
well sometimes u fail to spot the difference and thats when u either become vulnerable to everything or turn numb to it...
i dont agree with the quote though--ive learnt that there is NO relationship in life that is worth the pain which crosses ur threshhold...and if there is that much pain to bear in any relationship, then maybe it just isnt worth it!!

@ arv
///Comfortably Numb is the mood to be in... better than other stupid things people in pain do to themselves...///
i totally agree...and then smart is a person who learns from his mistakes but genius is someone who learns from the mistakes of others...
though i would say that 'comfortaby numb' is not a mood u choose to be in but rather a state which is forced upon you by your experiences or those of people around you....
take care!

@ urv
sometimes we let ourselves remain in the phase for a real long time...thats when u start getting comfortably numb...the longer u stay the more numb u'l get..so its entirely your call :)
(because it all seems well UNTIL u find someone/something who'd never want to hurt you and u find it impossible to believe--thats when the 'comfortably numb' state starts getting uncomfortable!)

take care
