M for 'Maybe'

We met somewhere
Along a common road
That connected our paths
Although for only a while
Until I moved forward
Befriending the wind
Beckoning the stars
Towards my destination
While you stayed behind
To enjoy the view.

Today, I am far ahead
On a different road
Still running, still in a hurry
To get somewhere
Yet wondering at times
How slowing down would have felt
With you by my side.

For a brief moment I felt it was my 'long lost love' writing it ! So checked your picture in the profile to confirm..Ha ha..

But let me add my few words :

The day you flew away,
The world ended,
So I thought,
I searched in despair,
Could there be no happiness,
Without another?
It was 'Light of Asia'
Who came to my rescue,
With such profound
insights-
"Everything is impermanent",
"Your clinging is your suffering",
"Let Go"
and
"Stay Within..."
Now I am in peace,
For,
I didn't lose anything
And
I din't miss anyone..

@ Newagebrahman /Losing completely
I guess I missed out on your comment earlier. Nice lines you penned there. But I'm not sure I know what you mean when you say 'As assured...' in your latest comment.
In my defense, I never assure anyone of anything. :p

Cheers!

Hmm.. Well I indeed think for a moment or two what word to use - 'Promise', naah, 'told' appeared elementary .. so thought it was safe to assume 'assured' . REST ASSURED !
